On Sunday November 14^th services of Remembrance took place across Tameside attended by local people, armed forces, police, fire and council representatives.

The events also featured local cadet forces and scouts honouring the fallen.

This year has seen both the Denton War Memorial and Stalybridge War Memorial both celebrate their centenary. Whilst Denton was unveiled in Victoria Park on July 24^th 1921 the Stalybridge War Memorial was unveiled on Sunday 6th November 1921.
