Sunday 18th September marked the 10th anniversary losing police officers Fiona Bone and Nicola Hughes in Tameside. The police constables from Greater Manchester Police were killed by Dale Cregan in a gun and grenade ambush in 2012 while responding to a false report of a burglary in Mottram. The memorial service took place on the Sunday morning – with a minute’s silence at – at Hyde police station.  Local councillors were joined by MP’s Angela Rayner and Jonathan Reynolds along with Greater Manchester Mayor Andy Burnham and Executive Leader of Tameside Council Councillor Ged Cooney.
