Communities came together at a ‘My Culture, Your Culture, Our World’ event to celebrate the different cultures and faiths in Tameside, as part of National Hate Crime Awareness Week. Ashton Health Group, based at Ashton Central Mosque, organised the event held on 18 October through the GM Hate Crime Community Small Grants programme, administered by Tameside Council.
This was an excellent opportunity to bring communities together and connect with one another, showing unity and respect in our community, and highlighting the Mosque as a welcoming place for all.
The event, featured an amazing variety of food tasting samples, activities such as arts and crafts, and information stalls for all to enjoy from seven different cultures within Tameside.
