Civic Mayor Cllr Janet Cooper

Morrisons Dukinfield called on local shoppers to support their special ‘Butterfly Bonanza’ last month – a fabulous fortnight of fundraising activities to mark the launch of children’s charity, Together for Short Lives’ new three-year-partnership with Morrisons.

Together for Short Lives is the only charity supporting the UK’s children’s hospices and families facing the heartbreak that their child will die young. Together with Morrisons, they are raising vital funds for children’s hospices across the country, helping families make precious memories, and reaching even more families caring for a seriously ill child.

Becky Teeney and Alison Cox Community Champions at Morrisons Dukinfield were joined by the Civic Mayor of Tameside, Councillor Janet Cooper and her consort Mr Dennis Fitzpatrick, at the launch on February 14th. Also supporting the event were children from Gorse Hall School in Stalybridge who performed their special poem and sang for the guests too.
