Florence Croce, from Dukinfield, had the honour of attending The Mayor’s Parlour at Dukinfield Town Hall in November. Florence, her family and supporters were presented with ‘Certificates of Achievement’ on behalf of the work they have undertaken and funds they have raised.

Florence suffers from a rare life limiting degenerative condition called late infantile GM1. The cruel condition has already robbed her of her ability to walk and talk. It will slowly take away theabilities she still has, resulting in her being taken from her loving family far too soon.

Her mum Jenny is determined to raise as much money as possible to provide Florence with the best life she can have, plus fund any treatments not available on the NHS, as well as raise awareness of the condition. Among her small army of supporters is Denton MP Andrew Gwynne and Massimino Malacrino who said he was honoured and proud to attend the Mayor’s Parlour and also to receive a ‘Certificate of Achievement’ for ‘Fundraising for Florence’.
