Ladies indulged in an unforgettable evening of glamour and entertainment with ‘Peckers’ an exclusive ladies-only night which raised vital funds for Willow Wood Hospice in Ashton-under-Lyne, Greater Manchester, to support patient care.

The inaugural event was the brainchild of Danni Carnegie, who runs an Oldham-based cleaning company called ‘Done and Dusted’. One of her cleaners, who was in her 30s, went on a girl’s night out and her drink was spiked. She suffered a heart attack and sadly passed away. Danni had been thinking about safe environments for women to let their hair down and prevent future spikings – a subject which has also made national headlines in recent times. So, she came up with the concept of ‘Peckers’ – the male version of the American-style entertainment Hooters.

Danni, who regularly works in Tameside, feels passionate about supporting our local hospice and has been a keen supporter of Willow Wood. During the event ladies were greeted on arrival by the charming butlers dressed in nothing but the shortest of shorts and bow ties, ready to serve up a delightful selection of shots at their table. There was also a show-stopping drag queen to keeping the ladies entertained with a mixture of sass, humour and jaw-dropping glamour.
