Jack Wilson

Earlier this year we featured a story on former student of Mossley Hollins and then Tameside College Jack Wilson, 18, from Carrbrook, who has been taking the Karate world by storm.  His latest achievements have included winning silver in the seniors and bronze in the U21s at the Commonwealth Championships representing England in September.

Coach Sensei Julian Mallalieu has also been elevated in his role with the England Karate Federation coaching team which he joined in May this year. His new role is the Interim Head Coach for the England Karate Federation as he supports his student Jack and others representing the country. Twelve years ago, Sensei Julian Mallalieu and his wife Sensie Sharon Mallalieu set up Tameside Karate which continues to grow from strength to strength.

Like many sports Jack’s sporting career is supported through family and sponsorships so if you want to help sponsor Jack, you can contact us at the magazine, and we will be happy to pass on your details.  If you want to get in contact Tameside Karate, they hold classes in Stalybridge and Ashton, and you can find out more by visiting www.tamesidekarate.com
