Tameside College strengthens partnership with Tameside Council with visit by senior leaders.

On Tuesday 17th December Tameside Council executive leader Eleanor Willis and chief executive Harry Catherall visited the college’s Tameside One campus, to learn more about the college’s facilities and students.

The visit provided an opportunity for the council’s leadership team to witness the state-of-the-art facilities the college has to offer, including the bakery kitchens and commercial Restaurant at Tameside One.

During the visit Eleanor and Harry had the opportunity to meet students and discuss their career journeys, alongside seeing first hand the skills they have mastered throughout their studies.

Leon Dowd, deputy principal at Tameside College and the council leaders also discussed how Tameside College and Tameside Council can further strengthen education in the borough and develop the local economy.

Leon, said: “We were delighted to welcome Eleanor and Harry to the college. Their support is invaluable as we continue to deliver high quality education and training opportunities for our students. Today’s visit highlights our shared commitment to investing in the future of Tameside’s young people and the local economy, alongside our partner Tameside Council.”

The visit is part of Tameside College’s ongoing collaboration with local partners it meets the needs of the local community and employers.
