BRILLIANT BRIDGE FEST

Posted by About Tameside | 11 Sep, 2025 | Events, News, Stalybridge

BRILLIANT BRIDGE FEST

On Saturday September 6th Stalybridge Town Team presented the fourth Bridge Fest  festival, building on the success of the last three, each one bigger and better than the last.

Several venues across Stalybridge played host to musical and artistic performances at the event, organised by volunteers from Stalybridge Town Team, which  had been a year in the planning.

Thirteen locations become stages as the annual showcase of talent returned with the Victoria Market Hall being one of the key venues..

Mossley’s St John’s brass band kicked things off in Armentieres Square before handing over to The Cherry Hintons. Young musician Jack Doyle,  English National Jazz Orchestra, Lexi, Soul Sounds Choir and performance poets  were some of the entertainment on offer in the Civic Hall.

Bridge Beers, on Melbourne Street, witnessed the return of Bridge Fest stalwart Colin, while at the Buffet Bar, at the railway station, it was the harmonic strings of the Mossley Ukelele Band.

Also seeing acts will be Q Bar, the Old Fleece, Bohemian Lounge, The Rifleman, The White House, Florence and Amelia’s and Holy Trinity Church.

Ray Harrison, Chair of Stalybridge Town Team, shared his excitement about the festival’s growth, saying: “We’ve been overwhelmed by the response from the community.

“The success of last year’s festival showed us just how much people love coming together to celebrate local talent, and we’re thrilled to bring it back even bigger this year.

“None of this would be possible without the incredible support from our volunteers, sponsors, local businesses and residents. It’s truly a festival by the community, for the community.”
