2025 sees local voluntary group Hyde Fundraisers reach an impressive 40th anniversary milestone. The group, who have been raising money for BBC Children in Need and other good causes since 1985, will be launching their special year with an event at the award-winning Indian Plaza in Audenshaw. On Tuesday February 18th the group have organised a ‘Character Curry’ fundraising event in association with the restaurant and Councillor Denise Ward.
SP Bowling from Hyde Fundraisers said: “We have never done an event like this before but ‘character dinners’ are a popular attraction across the world including Disney. Now here is the chance to have our very own themed event to start the group’s 40th anniversary off to a great start. So come and join us for a great family event and support some great charities too!” Characters will include R2D2, The Joker, Ghostbuster, Deadpool, Spiderman and many others who will be visiting your table for photo opportunities. There’s also a great prize raffle too!
The evening will see ticket holders enjoy delicious poppadoms, chutneys and a tasty curry to support BBC Children in Need and other good causes. Not only that, but you will also have a unique character dining experience with superheroes and sci-fi characters visiting your table for fantastic photo opportunities. It’s a great evening for all the family to enjoy and tickets are likely to get snapped up quickly.
