RAISE A GLASS AT THE TAMESIDE BEER FESTIVAL

Excitement is brewing for the return of the Tameside Beer Festival to Stalybridge in September. Now in its 14 th year, this major charity event and popular fixture on the Tameside calendar is returning to its ‘home’ at the Stalybridge Civic Hall on Friday 18th and Saturday 19th September 2026. The event will be raising funds primarily for four local dementia charities and services: St George’s Dementia Café Stalybridge, Forget-me-Not-Buddies Tameside, Music-in-Mind Stalybridge and Willow Wood Hospice Dementia Support Service.

Doors will open at 12noon and close at 10pm each evening with last orders at 10.30pm. The entry fee of £5 (payable on the door) will provide festival goers with access to over 30 beers, lagers, cider and wine alongside hot food, snacks and live entertainment and music. Drinks tokens will be available for purchase for those visitors wishing to buy alcohol.

An eclectic mix of live music and entertainment will be available throughout the two days including on the Friday: Tameside Community Voices; comedy, songs, dance and magic provided by Manchester based Stan & Ollie tribute act; music provided by the talented vocalist Jack Doyle; and finishing off the evening in the rocking good hands of Pattison Fogg. Saturday’s line up begins with the return of St John’s Brass Band, Mossley, who were such a big hit with afternoon audiences last year. Also appearing, following her acclaimed performance at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod is soprano Elizabeth Phillips and Saturday evening’s festival will be ending the ‘strangers’ way with the highly anticipated return of the rock band, Company of Strangers. The Beer Festival is organised by Tameside Rotary and Tameside Rotarian, Peter who is co-ordinating the event, said: “We’re delighted that this year’s charity Beer Festival is returning to Stalybridge and Rotarians (all volunteers) are working hard behind the scenes to make the event ‘pitcher’ perfect for visitors.
